SPOTLIGHT ON ZEUS:

Hi, my name is ZEUS. They volunteers at the sanctuary think I may
be part German Shepherd. I was born around 1998, so I'm considered
a senior dog. I've lived at the sanctuary now for at least three
years. I'm quiet. I don't require much attention, and I'm definitely
not too energetic.
I enjoy leisurely strolls and a good nap. I'd prefer to be an only
dog as I don't care too much for other dogs or cats. One of my favorite
things is getting bathed. I find it very relaxing and love the human
contact. Also, for the last year or so, I've needed eye drops each
day. The vet said it was because my eyes stopped making tears. I
also get a dog aspirin each morning to help my joints. I had been
putting on a few pounds, so I now eat diet food and I am trim and
very good looking because of it.
All around, I'd say that I'm a really nice dog who is deserving
of a good home. I sometimes think that a senior citizen might be
the right person for me. We could enjoy our Golden Years together!
Zeus is neutered, mircochipped, and up-to-date on his shots.
