SPOTLIGHT ON ROSE & SADIE:

Rose and her daughter Sadie are a very special mother-daughter team.
Rose has pretty soft and fluffy fur with a beautiful long luxurious
tail. Her daughter Sadie is adorable in those white boots, and loves
her mommy Rose so much. Rose is approximately two years old, and
Sadie was born in August 2007.
Rose and Sadie are FIV positive. But before you think
you can't adopt them check out this link http://www.bestfriends.org/theanimals/petcare/cats_fiv.cfm.
It will tell you that cats with FIV can live a long and healthy
life, and as long as they are not aggressive (which Rose and Sadie
are not) they can live with non-FIV cats. And boy, do Rose and Sadie
know how to live happily! FIV is passed through serious bite-wounds,
and Rose probably got it when she was living outside and got attacked
by an infected stray tom cat. Her previous owner did not spay her
or keep her inside where she would have been safe. Rose had five
kittens, but only Sadie inherited her mom's FIV, as FIV is rarely
passed on from mom to her kittens.
Before you move on to look at the next cat, please
educate yourself about FIV, and give Rose and Sadie a chance at
a home. Rose and Sadie can be adopted together or separately.
